Priscila Objectives & Target Groups

Priscila aims to foster inclusion and outreach of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers in adult education through the development and promotion of the PRISCILA method and pilots.

  • To develop an inclusive, comprehensive and participant-centred approach for the acquisition of three competences for lifelong learning: personal, social and learning to learn competence, cultural awareness and expression competence, and citizenship competence.

  • Improve the competences of educators and support staff in adult education, by developing resources (pilot reports, adult trainer handbook, quality and recognition guide), and capacity building workshops, tailored to specific needs of migrant, refugee and asylum seeker adult learners, to help learners overcome challenging situations (lack of social network, traumatic experiences, lack of basic communication skills, conflict resolution, etc.).

  • Improve the availability of high quality, flexible and recognised learning for migrant, refugee and asylum seeker adult learners through the development of the PRISCILA Guide  for Quality Provision and Recognition through Micro-credentials, which will go hand in hand with the PRISCILA Handbook for Adult Trainers, allowing the certification of attainment of three of the competences for lifelong learning: personal, social and learning to learn competence, cultural awareness and expression competence, and citizenship competence.
